It depends on what your income is, what her tastes are, and what's acceptable to you.
If I were dating someone, I would spend between 200-300 for an ok watch, as long as I perceived the relationship continuing. You can always upgrade on an anniversary or whatnot.

You can find some nice watches for even under a 100.00 since it is a NEW realtionship. Does she like those Fossil (sp) face color ones... I love those and they are only like $60-75 and she can have several and switch them out with outfits. That is what I do .
Just a thought then you have some money left over for a nice romantic dinner for two and a really sweet card.
