Buying just about anything in Amsterdam is legal including prostitution,and drugs,which probably makes it easier to buy steroids down there,here in Van it's illegal and you can be arrested and charged for it.
I don't know if steroids is legal in Amsterdam,but I wouldn't doubt it since everything else is.Comment

If you get a chance, check out Gas Town. Lots of clubs in that area and a lot of hotties, you can't go wrong there.
Blarny Stone (Irish Pub) is a really fun place to go, I've been there a few times and always had a blast. They got a live Irish band that plays for about an hour or two and the rest of the night is just random mainstream club stuff.
If you find it shitty there, you can hang with all the bums outside but make sure you don't have any cash on you. Beleive it or not theyre quite smart at scaming your money away, especially when you're drunk and having a good time.

You can go to nextdoor which is a hip hop club (I forget the name) or Sonar which is pretty much just across the street.
I'm not sure on the exact address to give you for Ghost Town but I know its on Carole Street (I think that is how you spell it). Hastings and Coradova run parralel from it.Comment

Blarney Stone is great as the owners are always gracious. Saturday night is going to be big there this week and next...you have got to love the guy that does the sketches in 2 minutes and the one-armed pushup guy!

rofl, ya that one arm 50 pushup bum is pretty good. I saw him there once but was a bit drunk so I wasn't sure if the pushups were legit. I saw a bit of a glitch in each push which looks to be some sort of an abnormal arm that doesn't even need muscle to lift himself.Originally posted by Aragorn

It's just the name of a section of downtown...starting near Burrard and Pender. It's a neat little section with a brick road and a bunch of neat shops. Hit up the Water St. Cafe for lunch if you get the chance...kiddy corner to Starbucks. You won't be disappointed with the Blarney Stone as it give a rustic feel with huge wooden tables and some great Irish pints.
