Complaining 24/7. Bonds about the steroid tests and now Sosa will make up an excuse for his corked bat. Their records should all be taken away. Mantle, Ruth, Williams didn't juice and they were all great players. No one will hit 400 again because it takes skill...most of today's players don't have what he had. F Bond and his attitude...if he didn't juice then Rado is straight. Sosa can crawl back under the rock he came from...Bunch of idiots, admit when you are wrong and the MLB AS tests are a joke anyway.

As far as cheating them out of their records, consider how small stadiums were back then (with the exception of Wrigley, Tiger Stadium and a couple others) and consider the pitching. The fastball was all a pitcher had. Now days, pitchers are just as strong and intelligent as hitters, evening things out a bit. Some records will never be broken, or at least not in my liftime. Rose's most hits record, Mag's hitting streak record, etc.

Pure power has increased and as far as skill goes most of the old time players were very not muscular guys and they drank 24/7.

Bonds is amazing..I hate his arrogance, but what hes doing is unreal...in his 73 HR season...he homered an average of 1 in 6 at bats....take away all those int. walks....his total goes way up...he also plays at a pitchers stadium....if he played at Coors, or the Ball Park In Arlington....god knows what he could accomplish...Regardless of how he carries himself, hes damn amazing...any guy that gets intentionally walked when the bases are loaded gets my respect.

But what is considered a pitchers ball park now is small in comparisson to what teh fields use to be like. I mean come on power alleys at 417? fuck where the local high school practices at they have bigger fields. Its all about what sells and home runs sell. No one will hit .400 again cause the pure hitters are gone. Hell you don't even see guys like Mattignly or boggs anymore. Everyone swings for the fences and it is sad.
