Anybody any good with printers. I have an hp deskjet 940c printer and I'm trying to change the ink cartridges. I can't get the damn button to stop flashing even when I put a new one in. Any suggestions?

A pin on the contact is possibly bent, or the cartridge could be bad, I got 2 bad ones in the last 3 months or so. Sometimes simply taking out of the package too quickly can rip the ribbon on the cart, if you closely inpect them under some light you may find something like this.
Take them out of the pkg slowly, and put them in thier slot slowly also.

All good tips you might also try cleaning the cradle dock ( the spot the ink cartridge rest when the printers off) if there is enough grime the cartridge sits in it and the contact strip or the inkjet which clogs it up... anyway plug the printer in and open the cover then when the cartridge moves unplug the printer this will unlock the cradle and allow you to move it out of the way so you can get to the ink resovoir take the cartridge out then... take a couple q-tips and some rubbing alchohol and have at it just make sure you soak up all the alchohol.. hope it helpsOriginally posted by Mudge
