    No painkillers or antibiotics?! huh!
    That's great, really great.
    Sometimes they can sabotage trying to keep positive..

    I'm a tad surprised you're upright already too.. you must be a pretty strong guy.
    And as hard as it is for you to keep from doing thingys *winks* ya gotta listen, if you wanna heal correctly.
    Did your surgeon mention anything about keeping your protein intake at a normal amount while your bones are healing?

          I'm eating about the same 50%, 40% 10% Protein, Carbs, Fat.

          The biggest deal is getting the cadaver bone to knit to the vertebrae.

          I'm taking 1000mg of additional calcium 'cause I don't drink a lot of milk.

          Worse is I can't drive because I'm supposed to limit my head movements up and down and side to side for now. Otherwise, I walked two miles this morning and felt great. Doc say I can do just about everything I used to as long as it's not crazy stuff.

          Lost about 15 pounds since this happened. I noticed muscle loss after about two weeks of not working out, losing about 2-4 pounds a week for the last three weeks or so. Didn't lose too much more fat than I had before, maybe a pound or two.

          Down to about 160# from 180-175#. My jeans are loose on me at a 30" waist LOL!

            Well, just remember that eating lots of protein requires using lots of calcium.. your body may take calcium from your bones to neutralize the acids that accumulate in your blood as a result of digesting large amounts of protein..
            {The digestion of protein releases acids that the body usually neutralizes with calcium and other buffering agents in the blood.}
            I doubt the amount of protein anyone eats during training would have any negative effect on them as long as you're taking calcium suppliments to counter it, but during a bone healing process.. I'm not sure..
            Just something to keep in mind
