  • our presdient and elected officials are idiots

we have a war to pay for and while i think we should use oil money to do that with i dont think the un will ever agree to it.

so anyway he is gonna start sending refund checks to parents and thats not a bad thing.

and they are lowering taxes so we will be bringing home more money.

these would be good things if i could understand were the hell they were gonna get the money and they werent gonna be asking for it back in a year.

Well said, Motogear, and another thing the democratic propaganda machines don't want you to know is this war cost us 1% of our Gross National Product compared to World War II's 130% of GNP and with inflation included we are paying the same if not more taxes now..........Now if that isn't screwed up - so we could afford to lower taxes even if you don't believe lower taxes stimulate the economy..........

I think that world war 2 and this Iraqi "war" are very uncomparable....[point being that ww2 was not americas choice, Whereas the Iraqi "war" was americas choice] I agree with the lowering taxes bid....but even one were to compare the taxes then ,adjusted for inflation, adjusted for cost of living, cost of labour and so on...Well I don't know if u were to pay more taxes but Id love to the see the stats on that one

They aren't comparable as far as war goes but I think looking at how much each war cost and the tax of the citizens during each war helps shed some insight on how cheap the "liberation" of Iraq was and on how taxes are! - here is some information sorry for the erratic order.

                          ...http://members.aol.com/kmkauffman/EconRead.htm .........WWII

                          http://www.cepr.net/Social_Security/...rorism_and.htm ..........Iraq

Summary for you guys that don't want to check out the rescources.

                          Currently....
When all taxes on labor income are combined, the average American family faces a 44 percent marginal tax rate.
This implies that, on the average, families get to keep only 56 cents out of each additional dollar they earn.

Tax cuts following the war(WWII) reduced the Federal tax burden as a share of GDP from its wartime high of 20.9 percent in 1944 to 14.4 percent in 1950 .... 29.6 in 2000

                          http://www.oecd.org/pdf/M00035000/M00035065.pdf ......tax info

                          http://www.ustreas.gov/education/fac...xes/ustax.html ......tax info

Hope this helps Scorpion.......now I got to get back to work
