  • Sensory Deprivation!

I remember in highschool, learning the government use to research sensory deprivation as a means of interrogation.

Now they have sensory deprivation tanks at some spas (not in my area)

Have any of you ever tried a sensory derprivation tank? Do they work?

Might be meditation for some folks, but most can't take very much before they start going nutso. I dont remember what the record is but it will be listed in Guiness.

Sensory deprivation is exactly what it says it is, no sound, no sight, no smell, restrained from movement, yada yada. They take away as much as they can, the ultimate in loneliness.

Sensory Deprivations tanks are long enough for a human to lay down in and is filled with water (which is body temperature) and alot of salt, so you actually float. They close the door and it's dark and they play some kind of static so you cant hear anything....

It is suppose to feel like you have no body...just consciousness.
