RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

i take my son fishing at least once a week either in the boat or to a local pond i hope that this keeps us tight when he leaves the nest unlike me and my folk. i see em a few times a year and try to schedule to work that day.

i started using those madman craws they seem to hang onto them a little longer but i will always love pitching a jig in the nastiest piece of cover i can find and damn there are lots of cedar trees in my home lake. my fav lure is a chug bug chrome and blue nothing like a wicked vicious topwater strike!

Fishing is big down here, but not so much in lakes or rivers, more beach fishing and ocean fishing. My best memories asa kid were fishing with my dad and Granddad. Dad and me still go a bit, but not enough.

well and another thing, I get alot of hits on grass frogs, but only about a 20% chance of setting the hook even with a trailer hook......

The lake I fish at is usually really clear, I can see the spawning bass "chase" off my lure protecting their nest, but they rarely hit it....

Well, here's a story for you.

MY uncle caught a BAT! Flyfishing! I guess it was getting late enough in the evening for the bats to come out, but still light enough to fish. Guess if it's good enough to fool a fish, it's good enough to fool a bat.

Man that was crazy! His line was all flying around and shit... took us a while to figure out WTF was going on!
