Hey! I'm not an attention *****!

I'm still here - I've just been really busy. I have a lot to do by August (the start of the fall semester). I still read the board allmost daily, but it's still the same routine. Rado acting like an idiot and the same questions being posted in the anabolic forum. I have been feeling really grumpy lately - my job is just wearing me down. I'm miserable.

LM - you know how when someone leaves a job in an office environment it's customary to send a farewell email to everyone in the office? Well - I already have mine planed out:

        Greetings,
The time has come to say goodbye to all of you. As of Friday, I will no longer be employed by this company. I would love to say that I will miss all of you dearly and that I loved my tenure here - but that would be a lie. I have been miserable working for this company. I will probably never think of any of you after I'm gone (with the exception of a very select few). Never in my career have I whitnessed such a lack of respect for an IT department. I am sick of being treated like a janitor or a corporate whipping boy. So long - xoxo.

        - The 'X'-corporate *****.

LOL - I can't wait. I'll send it out Thursday and I bet they'll tell me not to bother comming back on Friday. There will be a little more to it, but that's the jist of it.
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

It's all starting to come together. The first step in my road to happiness is getting the fuk out of this place. I have a lot going for me outside of work though. I just hate life mon-fri, 8-5. Unfortunatly, my unhappiness during those hours bleeds over into non-working hours. I think once I quit I'll feel right as rain!

I agree bro - I've been telling people that for years. I think it's about time I took my own advice and go for it. Thanks...

Well what will you do for work, and in the interim, will you have time for a little excursion to the Bahamas with me?

Well bro you know what is best for you, so quit if it makes you feel better. Remember 2 things here though:

                    1. If you do this, you will not be able to use them as a reference for future jobs, IMO it would be in your best interest to put in a 2 week resignation and go peacefully.

                    2. If you do send the email, not only will you not be back on friday, but they will have security escort you out because it is an IT environment and you have the power to hack, corrupt, take down the entire system.

But of course you already know all this........

That's right LM, tell him to wimp out from telling them like it is

Our last IT guy was fired, but not before he changed the network password to 'bald witch' (he had a woman boss, and it was so true. Someone had to tell her what the new password was. That was classic )
