Sorry, Dude, had to do it...

I board. Actually taught 4 of my friends how to do it this weekend. The 2 chicks did really well and one guy did unbelievably well but the guy who's been skiing all his life had a really hard time of it.

I'm forcing myself to ride fakie the next time I go out so I can start getting some 1/2 pipe time...

Definitely a once a week skier. I live about 20 minutes from Alta and Snowbird. Been skiing my whole live. For those of you who havent been, or are not too advanced, my legs are more tired after a 1/2 day skiing then any leg workout that i have ever done in the gym. Boarding is great too but saturated with 15 year old who listen to Blink 182

I have been boarding for 6 years. I got family up in Squamish BC near Whistler/Blackcomb so I take long holidays and board up there a lot. I hit the local mountains (Cypress and Seymour) everynow and then as well

Ya know, I always thought I was skiing on Mts at Mountain Creek, in Vernon NJ & a couple places in PA... til I {just recently} went to Utah.
              OMG!

I got to see my first half pipe competition while I was out there {avoiding skiing}.
They were having some championship thingy & Danny Kass was competing. It was really cool to watch!
Red Hot Chili Peppers did a concert at the ski lodge hosting the half pipe competition too, but they were sold out

I used to skateboard in HS and I kinda miss it, but I wonder if it would give me shin splints nowdays.

I'm happy you got to SEE them.. they sounded good
Too bad we didn't know ahead of time, but who would have thought they'd be playing a ski resort, ya know?

I was really impressed with the half pipe competition.
It's amazing how much air they actually get & you really don't feel the 'talent' these guys have by watching it on tv.
I guess just about anything's better live though..
