took my son to a local pond for about 45 minutes. i got skunked but i tied a little beetle spin on his scooby doo line and caught a bass a little over a pound. i thought that reel was gonna get guts spun out of it. i could hear the plastic cracking and it had a big gap in between the reel face and the housing. i guess its time for my boy to get a better rod and reel. man that kid had the biggest smile on his face! good start to the day!

good to hear my dad used to take me fishing i loved it and i still do it but not as much as i want.

LMAO at the reel story. Good for him. I caught a 5 lb bass when I was 12 and the thing almost dragged me into the water. Those fish can fight.Comment
