That's what I don't understand, and why is he vengeful ? I guess that's why I haven't read the Bible, I cant understand it and it seems too confusing for me. when I was really young my Grandma used to take me to church, and I did the Sunday school thing too. Roman Catholic. I am spiritual but not into organized religion.

ok everyone. i did not mean to stir anything up at all, i just wanted to see how many were more less belivers thats all...it just seems like as time goes on that more and more people just go away instead of fallowing... i am not here to preach at all, it was just a wondering question just because i was board and needed someone to talk to. lol

I have an old friend from college who tells me he is a big follower of Reverend Jim Baker and follows his podcasts and predictions of the end of the world and has totally bought into it lock stock and barrel. Yes, that same Jim Baker , who was married to tammy faye baker, who went to prison for stealing money and rape, is now selling prepper equipment and food for when Jesus returns and people are still sending this dude money. He tells his followers how horrible shit is going to be in the END TIMES and you had better buy his freeze dried meals or else. You might have to take the mark of the beast 666 on ur forehead in order to get food. Jim Baker is still laughing all the way to the bank I shit you not Lmao

I had another good friend in college on the football team at UNC, in our college bible study group, who went off his bipolar medication and decided to depend on the bible instead. We were more than happy to cheer his ass on and that jesus was going to heal his bipolarism and he didnt need medication, he needed jesus. Well, he said god told him to take a bus to Jimmy Swaggarts mansion down in Louisiana & that god put it on his heart to deliver Jimmy Swaggart a message from god. He shows up at Swaggarts compound, all gated with high security with a wall around it. He jumps over the wall and sees swaggart leaving in a big black limo and starts running toward the car yelling "hey jimmy, god has a message for me to give you!!!"...He gets tackled by security and they threw him in jail in Louisiana for trespassing on Jimmy Swaggarts property. LOL.

Don’t get me wrong, but I think your question doesn’t sound right. People don’t fear God. There are just believers and faithless. The first ones love God with all their heart, like each and every in my big family First Church Love - Home, and the latter don’t care about religion. People trying to live respecting and following the Bible’s laws do it because of Love and, in no case, fear.

Those who don’t read Bible and don’t believe in God but still are good people follow the laws stipulated by the constitution. Maybe they are afraid of the court and being sent to prison, but not God. Our Lord teaches us to love and care, not fear.
