i know where you're comming from bro and i do understand. i guess i just have a lot of respect for life, human or otherwise. why can't people just throw down any more? some little *****'s gotta bring a gun to the fight so he doesn't get hurt.

as far as guns for hunting - i tried it once. i went hunting with my dad when i was 14. i shot and killed a dear. that was the last day i EVER picked up a gun. i have never felt so bad in my life! i cried like a baby when i saw what i had done.

guns for shooting at the range - what's the fukin point? does wielding a gun make you feel stronger and more powerfull? this goes back to what i said originally - for pussies.

Hunting, I grew up poor as shit bro and my old man took me hunting to help put additional food on the table. I have always eaten what I killed. I haven't actually hunted in years because I have no need to anymore.

As far as why someone would want to go to a range and shoot, of course it makes you feel powerful weilding such a powerful weapon in your hand, that is inevitable. However, I do not do it because it makes me feel "big and strong," I do it because I enjoy the rush from the power of that weapon and I enjoy the challenge of putting a tiny piece of lead in a dime sized hole 300yds away...not because I am a *****.

I am actually kind of offended at such a generalizaton from such an intelligent man.

u guys are ready for war!, i live in canada so its not easy to posses a firearm, but i keep something around strictly for protection, as for hesitation to shoot a intruder, hell no, if someone kicks in your door at 3 am and has alternative motives then just robery, i am more then willing to shoot him to protect me and the people that mean most to me. I will gladly take the 2 year jail sentence that comes with a unregistered gun, knowing that what i did, i did for loved ones

I have three weapons...

I have a 22 mag, small, easily concealed. 44mag desert eagle, MY PRIZE POSSESION. A 12 gauge and a 30/6. Just wanted one of each. I use the 22 and the 44 for work. the 44 is huge but has a lot of power and a big guy, about 6'2 260lbs so it fits. The shot gun also sometimes use for work ONLY if called for but rarely. The 30/6 i basically just use for shooting practice.
