      Nope.. $100 is just right.
Actually, they might appreciate a hundred dollar bill in a card..

        Well, yes & no..
What newlywed doesn't like money to go & buy exactly what they need & want?
It's a thought to fall back on in case you can't find something that you really like that fits them..

Crystal is always a beautiful gift & Lenox is expensive so it's an impressive gift.
You could get them a matching pair of champagne glasses & a bottle of champagne..
Throw in a sexXy teddie & matching pair of silk boxers from Fredricks or Victoria Secret and you've provided 'mood' *lol*

what's your friend (and his girl) into????

I got one of my friends a real nice contemporary clock with the aged look to it.

I like to get gifts people can keep for the rest of their lives. Yeah all newly weds can use money but if that's what you get them they will forget what they spent it on. I'm kind of sentimental though
My vote to get them something they can keep but if it's decoration shit like a clock make sure it goes with the girls taste

$100 dollar savings bond for their future Children is a great gift IMO......and the monitary value in my opinion should depend on 2 things. (1) how much you make and (2) how close the friend is...

I am European and I know wedding shit is always "how much do you spend" "minimum $100 dollars a plate at the reception" and then pp talk shit for the next 10 years ...

                  Anyways hope this helps
EVERYTHING I SAY IS ONLY AN OPINION.

                    oh yeah,
one of my friends got my wife and I a real nice aluminum photo album with gold trim. It was also engraved with our names on it, and the date we got married. That was definately the best gift we got and wasn't close to the most expensive.

How about a framed painting or something crafty for the wall?

I thought that was really nice and everytime the wind blew, they would hear a soft, subtle relaxing tune that came from me. However, they wanted over $200. for it WTF?

I'm getting married in 2 months and we've requested monetary gifts. I'd go with a cold crisp one hundred dollar bill.

The wind chimes sound beautiful so I hope you're able to find another place to make them.
Ya know, you could just find a unique wind chime & have a trophy place engrave what you want on a seperate piece{s} of metal and just string it onto the wind chimes yourself.
