just wanted to let everybody know I'm leaving to go to basic training on mon @ fort benning in georgia and I have to go to N.O. this weekend so I won't get to post here for a while. I will be back in mid to late oct. talk to ya'll later.

hey bro .......in the end you'll think it wasnt that bad .....a few words of advice...
be prepaird to meet and work with the stupidest people you have ever met.
dont really frak out whenn the DS yes at you guys for fucking something up and makes ya push ......your going to do a million p-ups every day no matter what ......i've been there.
if you have a gf make her write you all the time ...its nice
reception is the worst part. sit and wait sit and wait ...good luck there.
just remember its all just a big mind fuck....if you can pass your PT test you will get out............
oh ...and for when you get back dont be one of those uys that are all " i can take on the world, just b/c i know a small bit of hand to hand" i've been a bouncer for 2 years .....and theres always some asshole who just got back from basic ...cant hold his liquor....then i have to give him a new lesson on hand to hand

hey bro, i'm in now. i took basic in ft benning, you infantry, i'm a little higher than infantry, we now wear tan berets. don't look as good as the black ones we used to wear. you get the pic, anyway bro enjoy it's the best thing i ever did and still do. i love my job more than anything in the world. so pm me anytime if u have any ?'s i would love to help you out.

Rangers donot lead the fucking way....A solid infantryman is just as good or better than any ranger any day. Remember, 10th Mountain's 1-87 Inf. got your asses out of Somalia, for being fucking stupid and thinking you can do all. 10th Mountain, FT. Drum, NY. "TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN" "TO THE TOP" HOOAH!!!

Just keep your priorities right, and always do your best. Do lots of PT and Roadmarch, to take the sensityvity out of your feet. Take care of your FEET!!! They are the ones that will carry you all the way to the finish. Powder them, caress them, wash them.

Secret to be sucsesfull in the Army:

Be at the right place, at the right time, in the right uniform. You will suceed, just remember...

You will have the best time of your life....and will do things other people pay to do!!!
