  • Periodization and AAS use: How do you like to train?

When I was "natty" I used different 9 week mesocycles for strength training. I would do 2 or three of these strength mesocycles and then maybe 1 hypertrophy cycle to maintain or gain muscle size. I won't get into my actual training here because that's some top secret CIA type shit.

Now with AAS use for a very experienced lifter, I have yet to find a mesocycle or periodization scheme that works for continued gains not dependent on the type/quantity of AAS.

What type routines have you experimented with and mesocycle/microcycle breakdown for continued gains (5lbs or more per year on a lift)?

Krunch_94 is a personal friend of mine since 9th grade...he was already benching twice his bodyweight back then and while dieted down for wrestling...he knows his stuff and was on the national power circuit for a good while...unfortunately injuries and politics in the sport kept him away but he is a wealth of knowledge and has learned quite a bit on gears from me and also his own "research" lol...welcome him and make him part of our community everyone

I feel your pain, shoulder injury from incline DBs stopped my progress 2 years ago. hopping to make a run for 550 again soon. Welcome aboard friend!
I was training 3wk micros 3x per meso then 1 week deload. I kept my heavy days in the 90% range and 50-60% range on my dynamic/rep days.... it wasn't perfect but it worked for my old ass.
