I power lift. I had a non lever belt but one of the gym rats let me try his out. Way to quick and easy to use. After a set of 600lb deads or 550lb squats i do not have the energy to get that damn hook out. Sure it costs a lot, but you will only buy one belt(unless you get one for squats/deads/bench). Plus my regular belt is a low quality shit brand name one from before I knew about PLComment
