  • Addicted to the gym?

As i never know what my schedule brings and to keep my momentum and that natural "high" from training, i will go to the gym 7/days week for weeks at a time. working two body parts per workout, half hr cardio every day, abs eod.

I know...too much is not good as there is such a thing as over-training.

    i have two problem,
1.when i don't go to the gym, i feel like crap and don't eat,
    2. when i go too much, i feel/know i am not giving my body enough recoup time....kinda like a feel right now.

how often do you guys train each body part per week?

Yep, I understand your dilema. Man, I give you two thumbs up on your dedication! It is a positive addiction, you just have to avoid burnout. I have avoided burnout by doing a lot of athletic stuff outside the gym. I try to do something intense each day, its not always in the gym. You can still train 7 days a week. I throw in some lifting and hoisting stuff that isnt just barbells and dumbells. Flip tires, drag tires, run steep hills, dig holes, etc etc etc...good luck

D good points and something i have been doing as well. Every friday morning i play some intense raquetball. Talk about a cardio workout........walk out of there sweating bullets. Afterwards, i still do some weight training. Maybe stop the weight training afterwards to recoup.

One thing with raquetball, very easy to pull a muscle in your back and calves. I know this cause i've done both over the past few months.
