  • new twist to an old movement...?

lately i've been adding db front raises to the end of my shoulder w/o's.the other night i decided to try them a bit differently.starting with palms facing your body at thigh level, turn your palms facing up as you raise the db's concentrating the wght on the outer edge of the db,pause at shoulder height then raise up a bit higher.the pump i got was so extreme that my front delt/pec tie ins were so swollen i could hardly move later that night.
not sure if it's a movement that's been done before just that i haven't noticed or seen it or i just tried something new.all i know is it was a great shoulder workout closer...

something i really like to get the front delts is doing a seated barbell shoulder press, but with a reverse grip.....i've done this during my precontest and it really makes me vascular and finishes the chest delt tie-in nicely

Thanks to both of you for these posts. I've never thought to try this but will on this week's shoulder w/o.

I got one more for ya, sit down as if to do a shoulder press but perform a fly type movement while sitting verticle. Another great front delt, upper pec tie-in worker.

irish,so your palms face towards you then right? i think i just read something on it but the way it was written i couldn't picture the movement.similar to an Arnold press but in reverse correct? gotta try this one out.
CE,tried those before.total killer.even with 20lb db's they blow you up.since my rotator cuffs are pretty much shot i always try to look for more alternatives than just presses and uprights.my seated bb presses are pretty decent as are my db presses but on lateral raises i'm really in pain as well as uprights.
