Re: Core/Explosiveness/Sport
You and me both- I replace part of my back workout with a few sets of power cleans - I think it helps with over all power as well, plus I feel that it develops that part of th muscle or nervous system that exerts force over a time or speed that you dont get when training slow and methodical as a bodybuildr typically does. To me that is vital if you engage in other activities - I find as I get older and continue to train this becomes even more important If I am continue ignoring father timeOriginally posted by Strella View PostNever done it with kettle bells but I do barbell power cleans once a week. I really like them for overall power.

Re: Core/Explosiveness/Sport
Yea man, I agree for sure. Just did my power cleans today and felt really good. I have been slowly weaning myself off of using my weight belt and I didnt use it at all today. I did my 5x5 squats then 3x5 on my power cleans and a couple sets of stiff leg deads and some sumo jump squats (i hold a db at the end with both hands, let it touch the floor then jump). I actually felt really good without the belt. I didnt use it on Tues either with squats or regular deadlifts. Just been working my lower and mid back really hard and I have noticed a huge difference lately; no pain doing anything! Loving the back extension exercises.
