Re: Who here under eats
Me, sometimes.I am trying so hard to lose some stubborn weight that I gained since my hip surgery, I know there are days that I under eat (in attempt to lose that weight)
It has NOT worked for me at all, for even under eating, I still cant lose an ounce!! (literally!) UGH!
I personally dont know how to proceed with my eating, for nothing I do seems to be working what so ever! Sigh.......

Re: Who here under eats
Could it be that your metabolism is crashed? I read that you should check your temp to give you an idea of your metabolism. It is supposed to be 97.2 or higher in the morning. Just a thought..."He woke up because I kept punching him in the face." --Thiago Alves

Re: Who here under eats
I probably under eat quite often. I just don't have much will power when it comes to eating correctly. I need someone around me every day keeping me on track."He woke up because I kept punching him in the face." --Thiago Alves

Carb sensitive bodies must really work to get that metabolism going. It doesn't take long to train your metabolism to work faster. That along with the proper nutritional intake, and caloric burning exercises will lead to success. It's hard work. My wife was up from some medication that put over 15lbs on her within about a month. She's been on a decent little weight loss program for the last 2 months, and is back down near her ideal weight. She's almost exactly 15lbs lighter, but wants to get another 5-7lbs off. It's taken some adjustments, and she has a whole nother battle which makes it very difficult for her to just get a walk in every morning. That's why it's taking a little longer than she'd like. If she could go hard, she might already be at her goal, but...she has ailments that make it difficult much of the time.

Re: Who here under eats
I eat 6 times a day, the same food everyday. Only on Saturday do I eat a different meal. Usually BBQ something. I guess it's from being in the military, I like the routine of doing the same thing at the same time of day everyday. They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.

Re: Who here under eats
Hi,
Yes, I do know about smaller, frequent meals, I have eaten like this for along time for I have issues with low blood sugar.
Here is a typical eating day for me:
B - (this is my pre workout meal) Protein shake made with: one scoop of PP, 1/4 cup of steel cut oats, 1/3 frozen banana, handful of frozen blueberries, and/or strawberries, two tablespoons of ground flax seed and 1/2 cup unsweetened almond breeze and the rest water. (all mixed in my magic bullet)
S- (this is my post workout snack) - protein shake made with one scoop of PP mixed with a package of Emergen C ( I Was mixing with Chrystal Lite, but found out I may have issues with food colorings).
I also will eat a small amount of carbs at this time after my workout.
L - Egg white omelette made with peanut butter and banana, chopped up raw veggies (cukes, peppers, celery, etc.) Handful of gluten free crackers ( I am trying to follow a gluten free diet this past month due to some health things going on.) or I will have a 1/2 cup of brown rice
S- handful of almonds, or sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds and a piece of fruit. Sometimes a few squares of dark chocolate
D- Salad with lots of veggies, grilled chicken, small portion of rice or potato.
S - I was eating a small container of greek yogurt, but have given that up lately seeing if that would help in my weight loss battle. (it hasnt as of yet)
So, really, that is a typical day of eating for me.
My workouts are always in the morning and never on an empty stomach for I would pass out if I didnt have anything to eat.
I have been doing around 30 - 45 minutes of cardio, and 5 days of weight lifting, somewhat heavy.
What kind of weight loss program has your wife been on, what kinds of things does she eat? I would love any help!!!!
Thank you!
Michelle

For fat burning, your optimum time of day for caloric burning is in the A.M. Early a.m. Don't hit it until you've put somethig in your stomach to burn, or you're taking 2 steps back. hat would result in more storage of calories if you go on an empty stomach. You need that early, light meal to jumpstart your metabolism. Then an early morning cardio session will burn that off, so you'd want another very light,(such as protein shake), just after the a.m. fat-burner. Then smart,(nutritious), smaller portions throughout the day.
