  • OVER TRAINING

    1) IS IT POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN TRAIN YOUR BODY TO BE SO TRAINED THAT YOUR NOT OVER TRAINING.I WORK OUT EVERY DAY I HAVENT TAKEN A DAY OFF IN FOREVER. I MUST BE IN THE GYM. I DO A BODY PART A DAY AND SOMETIMES 2 PARTS A DAY. I ALWAYS WARM UP ON THE BIKE FOR 20 MINUTES BEFORE LIFTING.I SPEND A HOUR + IN THE GYM EVERY DAY.

    2) I KICK BOX 3 TIMES A WEEK T-TH-SAT

    3) I TAKE TAEBO 2X A WEEK A BOOT CAMP 1X A WEEK

    4) I STILL SEE GAINS IN MY BODY WITH SIZE AND STRENGTH. SO ALL OF THIS I DO WILL SAY I OVER TRAIN, BUT IF SO THEN WHY HAVENT I HIT A WALL ANSD THE GAINS HAVE STOPPED. THIS IS ALL I KNOW I GO 100 MPH EVERY DAY. I DONT DRINK OR SMOKE I EAT OK IT COULD BE BETTER. BUT IF I'M USED TO THIS AND MY BODY IS SAYING YOUR FINE THEN WHY WOULD I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN. ANY THOUGHTS

    Re: OVER TRAINING

genetics, and routine plus the mind

i have alot of pent up energy in general and working out imho actually calms me down

heck, you're doing what you love, what's wrong with that

if you were training for a competition or had to reach a peak it would be different imho

        Re: OVER TRAINING

Overtraining is different for everybody based on several factors. It’s not as simple as “if you train 6 days a week, you are overtraining.” That is incorrect. A person can suffer from symptoms with fewer days and somebody else can suffer no symptoms and make fantastic gains with 7 days a week. It cannot be defined by slapping down a number for every single person in every single case.

It may show itself in other ways Fuzo, such as
        *chronic minor injuries
*continuously tight sore muscles that no matter how much stretching you do you find no relief
        *Elevated resting Heart Rate
        *Frequent minor infections
        *Joint Pain
        *Weight loss
        *Appetite Suppression/loss
        *Exhaustion, Lethargy
        *Dehydration/Insatiable thirst
        *insomnia
*depression (yes hard to believe isn't it!)
        *reduced ability to concentrate
        *headaches
*inability to relax, twitchy, fidgety, jittery or just pure hyper!
        *Anxiety, irritability

And some others that I think are more less givens, like lack of motivation, being continually tired, decreased performance, and loss of gains.

There’s a lot to be aware of when it comes to your body’s signals about pushing yourself too far. The most common sign of overtraining is the total loss of motivation to train (and maybe other areas of your life) mixed with some the symptoms above and exhaustion.

It might be wise to take a break if you are not motivated, exhausted and you have some of the symptoms above.

I’m a big believer in taking a training break every 8-10 weeks anyway to keep myself from ever reaching the above states of potential overtraining. It helps to take a break regardless but that’s up to you.

          Re: OVER TRAINING

I find that as long as I'm not trying to put massive size on (haven't in years) that I can train and train. I also think that now I'm in my 30's and been training since 13 years old that my body is conditioned for it. Must be the same with you Fuzo.
