  • Is this normal

To give some background I'm 22 and have about 6yrs lifting experience. However life has gotten in the way the past year so I've been extremely incnsistent, working out a few times a month. I'm currently on max-ot regimine because I had great sucess with it before. I'm noticng my recovery time is very slow taking upwards to 4 days for total soreness to diminish. Is this normal given my circumstances? Also I did triceps this past Friday, my tris are still a lil sore and I can notice the strain when doing a pushup, my chest workout is today but Im wondering if the soreness from triceps will hinder my chest workout and if it would be more sensible to take the day off or just lift (lifting light isn't an option because it doesn't follow the max-ot method)

    max-of very basic overvew:
1 muscle per two (2 small). 5-9 total working sets, using weight where u can get atleast 4 reps but no mrs than 6 reps
Im gonna get so big I cant dress myself

yep...normal. when i have a lay off or go inconsistant (middle december to mid jan) i get the same thing. also...if i REALLY hammer myself, like when i change things up for the first time after 6-8weeks of doing something, i get that too....i think its just part of the program bro

yea bro it's normal. I never suggest after a long layoff to just hop back in to super heavy. I always suggest to get some middle weight in for a month or so just to help strengthen your tendons and ligaments before you start pounding weight
