    Re: Bodybuilding???

Also, what are the best magazines to read? I play alot of golf and I know that there are alot of differences between the information in different magazines and I assume that goes for bodybuilding too.

Dont forget your cardio and drink plenty of water...The more water intake u have, the better your body will loose body fat .

good diet....i had a prob when i first started and you (smiley) suggested, basicly, the same one...it's hard for a newbie to get up the appitite for such eating. i replaced meal 2 and 4 with protiene shakes. regular whey protiene and a handfull of almonds

          Re: Bodybuilding???

Looks good. My next question is what kind of things could I substitute for the different meals? I don't think i could eat those same things everyday for 12 weeks.

Would replacing two of those with protein shakes work?

I have whey protein I got from Beverly International. So I can substitute. Since red meat is not good, what kind of meat can I sub for the chicken?

                      Re: Bodybuilding???

Well, I started everything this morning and I have already found out one thing. I am going to have to start off with smaller portions at breakfast. The cup of oatmeal, 7 egg whites, and a large banana was too much. I could not finish it all. So I am going to cut the oatmeal back some and try that tomorrow. Maybe after I get used to it then I will be able to eat that much. I am going to try replacing meal 2 and 4 with a whey shake and see how that goes. If I still feel hungry or whatever, then tomorrow I will go with the food instead of the shake. I tried and tried to eat that this morning. I was even eating on it during my drive to work and couldn't finish..

What can i do with the egg whites to make them easier to eat? Just plain egg whites aren't the most desirable thing.

                              Re: Bodybuilding???

Well, I missed last week because I was sick but up until then I had worked out for about a month. I tried to slowly get my diet in line by cutting out sugars, cokes, drinking as much water as I can, etc...I tried to eat 5 meals a day with two of those meals being protein shakes. I haven't really stuck to a certain diet or anything other than the 5 meals a day. I just figured I would slowly cut out the bad stuff first and not try to completely change my eating habits cold turkey. I worked out M-W-F and tried to do cardio in between. The last week all I did was cardio as I was trying to get into a little better cardio shape.

Well, when I first started working out I was pushing right at 190!!! And that was not from muscle! I know that I am not supposed to be using the scale but the last few days I have just felt smaller so I have jumped on the scales a few times the last few days and I am 180 now. I have weighed in the morning right after a shower and I have weighed at night right before I go to bed and it is always at 180. So I am assuming that I have lost around 6-10lbs! That is great! I am trying to get my BF% down before I actually get into the bodybuilding aspect. Anyway, I thought that was great considering that I really haven't done that much changing. That has me excited because now I know that if I keep making these little changes and stick with the workouts then I will be where I want to be in no time!

Also, starting Monday, I think I am going to hit the P90x again now that I actually have a little better cardio and I am into the groove of working out. I think I can really burn some fat with that program. I am trying to get leaned down quite a bit before June. In June I am going to the beach with my GF and we are getting married....so I would like to be able to have a descent look by then.

                              What do you guys think?

i think your doing a fine job...it (fat) does seem to melt quickly when first starting...keep plugging away and keep watching the quality of you calorie intake....keep hitting the weights and cardio. keep an eye on the mirror ti indicate to yourself when its time to wratchit it up a bit
