  • resistance bands

    I see many trainers at the gym use them on their clients. When I had a trainer, we used them sometimes. I did like them but I think they improved my endurance more than improving strength. What are your thoughts on them?

    i have hurt my shoulder and actually had to get a cortisone shot. I used them before works outs for stretching and warming up my shoulder and they helped.. not sure if that is the type of answer you where looking for thou.
    Don't worry about life, you're not going to survive it anyway.

      Are you talkin about the jump stretch bands? I love them for squats and deads and occasionally for bench. Everybody's different but if I bench with them more than once a month my joints don't like me very much. I can do what I want on squats and deads cause the joints are much larger and can handle the extra stress but I cycle them in and out depending on how I'm feeling that day and if I'm gettin ready for a meet or not.

        I should also mention that they're great for increasing speed and tricking the cns to handling heavier loads, not to mention it's good to throw em in from time to time for variety.
