Re: DIPS
yea...bend your legs back at the knee and your body leans forward (hits the chest)
leave legs straight (hits the tri's)
add resistance with chains around you neck for chest or weighted belt for tris (with legs bent, weighted belt will work for chest too, but chains around shoulder/neck works better)HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

Re: DIPS
I assume you are trying to work tri's? If so, leaning forward will recruict more pectoral and anterior deltiod musle. If tri's are your target, remain as upright as balance will let you and you'll hit the tri's nicely.
Side note... most machines offer afolded in or out grip. keep the handles close and concentrate on the movement. you'll be tempted to ;ean forward as you become fatigued.A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -Thomas Jefferson

Re: DIPS
no...just a length of 5/8's chain...i did them for a couple weeks when i was training at powerhouse (someone else had them). worked awsome...fuked my tri's up!! now that i've been reminded of that, i'll be going to home depot this weekend! i cant remember what lenth=what wieght, but i'll get that later. kite, who's into power lifting, would probobly have more info on how to incorporate chains in your training. you can use them for almost all muscle groups.Originally posted by Dzone View Postchains around the neck? really? with a plate hangin? damHE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
