i've had some personal prob's that i have just gotten through. i GOTTA get my ass back to work!! i'm having some real motivational probs. i've been NOT working out for about 5weeks. and, ofcourse, my nutrition has been a joke (1-2 meals a day and plenty of alcohol)...need maybe a new starter program...something to get me back into the swing...any suggestions?

Lay off the booze. Throughout the years almost all of my missed workouts were from consumption of alcohol.

i'm going with that same approach for the next 4 or 5 weeks...three days a week, chest, legs then back...may throw a very short morning bicep and another for tricep's....just need to get my ass in gear again....the motivation is toast!

word to ur brother! i need a swift kick in the ass as well. the new job and adjusting to the new hours has reaked havoc on my sleep schedule, therefore resulting in zero motivation. i'm just now (after 2-1/2 months there) getting to the point where i can sleep well, thank god. once i get that officially under control and get my new apartment (can't fuc kin wait!!!!) ill be in that bit ch bright and early with the old farts!...no offense fuzzy.

              Re: ok...

              imho, ur problem is universal

so much stress on a relative basis from all fronts over the last few years just wear people out, ME INCLUDED

i'm still erratic in my consistency, yet, over the last two months my workouts, and especially my meals have improved greatly, i'm making and taking baby steps cause my long term goal is pretty big

fwiw, imho, ur goal, 3 times for a month is perfect, nix the morning bicep stuff, trying too force too much, my best guess is that u will struggle with the morning stuff, and thus set up a negative feedback loop that only increases internal stress, which is the last thing u need

imho, time dates in the future are always critical

right now laborrry day sept 5th or whatever is going to be a party weekend, which is exactly in alignment with ur 5 weeks, shoot for that weekend as a reward weekend, and then after labor day stuff, add in one or two more small goals

realistically, if u see your self as an athlete, 3 months is more realistic to get ur groove back, right now it is obvious u have other priorities

on a side note, my bet is the downturn came when u struggled with what are the proper priorities

fwiw, i moved across the street from my ma and gram in nov cause gram is 05 and ma is in late stage of alzheimers

now, i knew it would take me 6-9 months to get use to it, my mistake, priorities, these women have doctors appointments like kids have sports games

and too add to my stress there is always a new challenge, april gram might be going blind, a mont of doctors an surgeries, and she will be good to go till she see's the pearly gates

my ma, last 3 weeks, pneumoniea, yeah, u hear all the stuff about older folks and pneumonia and man have i had an awaken on how that stuff works

anyways, with my ma's problems, i finally said, doctors appointments have to be my no. 1 priority, there health, not mine, not my business, etc. etc.

this has finally got my mind on track to proper time management on my end, before i had been forgetting doctor appointments, cancelling at last minute cause other stuff in my biz came up etc. etc.

              hope that helped
              good luck
