  • Weight loss questions??

    I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I stopped working out over 2 years ago I guess because I had gotten into working so much over time. Well, it has recently hit me that I have gained a ton of weight. I am
    5"8" and weigh about 185lbs. No I have always weighed more than my height says I should, but it has passed the point of ridiculous!!! I need to get rid of this weight ASAP!! Should I just strictly focus on weight loss first and get my weight down and then work on toning up the muscle or what? What is going to be the quickest way for me to drop the weight? I know burn more calories than I eat...but I was looking for a little more detail. I am at point to where I am miserable and will do whatever to get my old body back....I mean I have love handles....

    FEED THE MUSCLE-NOT THE FAT!!

    There really is no quick way to lose weight. The quicker you lose, the quicker you will gain it and more back.

    Spend about 2 weeks on cardio and then incorporate weights into your routine.

      Is there any supps that I could take that would help the process other than protein?

        high protien, low fat, low carbs. treadmill mornings 5days a week for 30-45min on an empty stomach 20mins after a cup of coffee and some lipo-6. thats what works for me

            Where is the cheapest place to buy Lipo-6? Also, I have seen the Nutrex Lipo-6 liquid capsules...is that what you are talking about? Anything I need to know before getting them? Thanks

              lipo is a stimulant, like drinking several cups of coffee, so u might have a negative reaction or be okay

              also, imho, thechosen1 is spot on, only thing i would add is try and get in six meals a day, and log all meals, imho, logging really makes a difference, the facts don't lie, yet, your mind will fudge if it is not in black and white

              i find most give a good effort in the gym, it's at the table where we have struggles

                I totally agree. I try to get in 5 or 6 meals a day but that is including protein shakes and bars as meals. I have tried to get my meals in check by deleting one thing at a time, ie...start with deleting fat at first, then try to cut out sugar, etc... I have just always had a hard time at putting together daily meals without having to eat the same thing over and over. That is usually what burns me out. I was just trying to find something that would aid me in losing weight, not a miracle drug..you know? I plan on doing the cardio and weight routine but if I can add a supplement that will aid in the losing process then that is what I am looking for.
