Why is it better not to work out one or two bodyparts each day once a week? I see a lot of people thrive from one bodypart or group (arm day, or leg day) each week. Im just curious because Ive done both and have seen results with both
Im gonna get so big I cant dress myself

    Re: Explain

There is no explaination other than everybody is different so what works for one may not work for another. Dorian Yates managed to be Mr. O several times and only did one set per exercise and trained each muscle once a week. Ronnie does a butt load of sets and trains everything twice a week so it's just what works best for each person.

      Re: Explain

ok this used to be my old split:
      mon - chest
      tue- back
      wed-arms
      thur-off
      fri-legs
      sat-shoulders

I used to just murder each bodypart till I was pumped, I didnt train to failure all the time but I did alot of volume. But now i get so pumped after like 6 or so sets especially for chest and tris. I just dont know if its gonna be more effective for me to do multiple bodyparts 2 times a week. I feel like id benifit cause after 6 sets im not exhausted just my chest is pumped so im still able to do back/shouldres and tris but sometimes shoulders and tris suffer cause theyve been worked slighty in the chest movements. However when hittin one group per day once a week im able to focus entirely on the one bodypart, and unlike bunchin multiple bodyparts together im able to hit each one when theyre fresh, but with the amount of volume I do now and can handle now i dont need 7 days to hit the bodypart again. Theres pros and cons to each one. Things used to be so simple haha. Try and help me out

        Who says it's better?
Everything from creatine depletion to protein and carb depletion during a work out. Some guys limit their workouts to short times so they don't lose to many carbs during a work out. Others because they believe once your creatine levels deplete, your muscles are fatigued. Some guys say because your central nervous system gets just as much of a work out as your muscles do. Everyone has theories. But like you said, you've done it both, and both have achieved results. So basically, everyone has a "Theory", but generally most "theories" work. Dorian Yates genetics are near perfect. If you ever seen pictures of him when he was a kid, you could tell his body was screaming to explode from a small dose of anything. My theory has always been, "work out until you break perfect form. At that point, anything else is overkill." And it has worked fine for me. Wether I could do 10 sets for chest, or 6 sets. Once I fatigued so badly that the bar was hitting my chest, or I was arching my back, or my left arm was drooping more than my right, I knew it was time to call it quits for the day.
