  • Need some motivation or tips on what to do here...

    Well, I am at the gym right now and did one set of lat pulldowns with 210x8 when I usually do 250x8... this has been going on for a couple of weeks... all my lifts have been down and I just absoulutly am sick of lifting like a baby. I need something to get me back in the swing of things and back to getting big and strong, anyone ever had this happen to them? Feels like all my lifts have gone to hell... please HELP!

      Overtrained! That's one of the primary signs of it!
      I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

        PS - take 2 weeks off and come back stronger.

            I dunno... I'm scared... maybe I will take a week off and see how I feel after that. 2 weeks I would die... way to long to be out for me.

              Hows your sleep and diet? Sometimes one or both are factors in this situation.

                Yeah make sure you get enough rest about 8 -10 hours .When I sleep shorter it seems to catch up to me if you do not have time take in little naps .And also diet can play a big part if you dont eat right make sure you eat a meal before working out sometimes protein shakes dont give you enough .I usually hit up different gyms to switch the environment alittle maybe seeing the same routine /people gotta change the look sometimes .Or take a rest for a week or 2 like everyone else said probably overtraining burnt !

                  My diet is pretty good, almost 95% sure thats not my problem, but my sleep routine is so crazy, I mean i get plenty of rest its just i fall alsleep at like 6am and wake up at like 3pm... I hate it, thinking about geting on lunesta for a week to get things back in order. I still get around 9-10 hrs of sleep every night tho.

                    Bump the idea of taking a week off. You are likely overtrained. I would say 2 weeks off but save that for in case the 1 week doesn't raise your lifts. The other thing you should do is watch Pumping Iron!

                        its a movie i think, and dont feel bad aboiut takin time off, i had to take two weeks off, and still have to be off two more weeks ...its jus cause im sick though, im gonna come back with ridiculous intensity

                          You are already dying! LOL If you want to catch up from being over trained it's 2 weeks! One week won't do it.
