  • New workout, tell me what you think!

    What do you thing of working out twice a day??
    I am taking some time off for my up comming cycle and I was thinking about a new workout routine that is something like the following:
    day1: 5AM - Legs
    4PM Chest
    day2: 5AM Back
    4PM delts
    Day3: 5AM Arms
    4PM the little stuff like abs and maybe just cardio
    Day4:Rest

    day5: back to day one

    What do you think?? the up comming cycle is going to be a mass cycle (FYI)

    I would swithc it up. The way you have it you will be hitting your triceps directly or indirectly three days in a row. chest day, shoulder day and arm day.

    I would probably hit chest and delts on day one and then arms on day 3 to give the tris a little break on day 2. But that's me. Also, since you asked, if it was me I would do two days on and two days off. Keep the cortisol levels down. Everytime you put stress on your endocrine system your body releases cortisol. This catabolic hormone will be released 6 times in your 3 days split. That's a lot bro without major counter measures. But again, that's me. Your body might be totally different than mine.

      PS - I also utilize a lot of high intensity stuff, so I take more time between same muscle workouts to get enough rest.

        The only thing that I am planning on doing while I am doing this is sleeping and eating.

          I don't know how ANYONE could do a leg workout and then go back later for more punishment.

          Are you taking in enough calories to support this much training and still promote growth?

            T-Man offers sound advice once again!

            Your day 1 is brutal, do you actually think you can hit your chest the way you want to after legs? If you can i tip my hat to you.

            I would also be doing 2 on 2 off.

                Damn bro that`s a killer workout.. if you survive you`re the man..

                If I was you I would do Chest in the morning, and Shoulders at night..

                And I`d hit Back in the morning, legs at night...

                  I bow down to you MERC if you can make this work. Personally, it would destroy me. I can only go back to back and that's on a rare occasion - otherwise I fall into the overtraining realm. I think T-Man hit this well when he mentioned hitting triceps nearly three times per week.

                      Ok here is my revised plan...I will be getting about in enough cals after this week and plenty of sleep around 12+ hours ...the only thing I worry about is over training I know I can do, plus I love the thought of being sore everyday

                        I am sore every day working out 3 days/week. I still think not enough rest.

                          Maybe I will up the off days to 2 days in the routine so day 4 and day 5 are rest days
