Not sure if this has been asked before, but how many here use a protein/creatine/sugar or whatever drink during their workout to avoid catabolism. What do you put in it? Have you noticed any gains since you started using it? Thanks.

1 hr before gym time it is a protein drink with some flax oil then half hour before i hit the gym it is eca stack, l-carn. and a apple or a protein drink with some carbs in it. then when i get done it is protein drink, dextrose, vitamins,ala,cla. During the workout it is just straight h20

thanks for the replies, I was reading in a mag, I forget which one it was, I think flex, about people drinking protein shakes (using only small amounts around 20gms protein and 10 gms creatine)during their workouts, and of course a shake with plenty of protein and carbs post workout. Pre work out shakes might just be the new rage. If the science behind it is proven and the emperical evidence is true you can bet that adding in a pre workout shake with the proper ratios will pack some extra muscle on your body.Wannabebig Content Editor
