    i never really got this . I have heard of lots of people going to failure with these . I dont know ,they scare the shit out me ,with that kind of weight and no where to go ,your shit out of luck if you cant get it back up .

    What if your spotter cant lift that kind of weight ,we are talking 1000 lbs and more for alote of people .

    I ususally go t'ill i fail .i mean my legs are shaking the last 3- reps and it takes everything to get it up there.I could go 1-2 more reps to true failure but am sort of scared of popping a knee.

    My machine doesnt have spotters at the bottom to hold the weight ,only about half way through the rep then your ok just fglip the bars

    i do them to failure but with a light weight and do a lot of reps every once in a while

      thanks bro .I have tried them lighter (more reps) and it's not as bad for the spotter.

          Every working set should be taken to failure, and beyond. That is, if you have a spotter available.

                If you are afraid to go to failure with high weights you should try drop sets.
