    Deads are like squats, They both are basic core power lifts that help just about every lift you do. IMO Deads ae a must if you want progress...

      none for me... my spine in the lower back is really shitty... could be hernia (not sure)... i hurt it couple times really bad, and haven't done any since.... so i usually skip it.....

        deads are great. we do them at different heights off pins and sometimes where we stand on a 4 inch box to make the weight sit lower. wouldn't know how to train without them.

          i do them every back day....i see a lot of people not doing them at all.

            I do them once a week. I train legs twice a week.

            Tuesdays:

            Leg Extensions 4 sets of 10 reps
            Leg Presses 6 sets of 10 reps
            Leg Curls 4 sets of 10 reps
            -------------------------------------------------------------

            Saturdays:

            Leg Extensions 4 sets of 10 reps
            Squats 5 sets of 10 reps
            Stiff-legged deadlifts 5 sets of 10 reps
            Leg Curls 4 sets of 10 reps
            -------------------------------------------------------------

            I alternate workouts here and there.

              Why do you do hammies and quads on the same day? I'm not bashing, just wondering if you've found any advantage doing your routine this way. I started splitting hammies and quads into seperate workouts a few days apart and the results are awesome...anybody else?

                i like to do them everother week, but my back always gets hurt. i cant sit in my girls car for longer that like 15 minutes before it is aching like hell. i do like them though. serious builder

                  Every friday without a doubt. You will never have a huge back or be truly strong without doing deadlifts.

                    Look at guys like Paul Dillet. That dude worked his back with millions and millions of cable rows, and his lats are huge, but his spinal erectors looked like my mothers.
