Injectable L-lysine

I'm seeing this pop up in injectable form a lot more. Usually sold along side B12 and l-carn...

I realize the basic functions and somethings that it does really well...curious why this is popping up in bodybuilding circles?

Other than maybe a lot of bodybuilders are suffering from herpes...anyone else know what this injectable amino acid can do in our neck of the woods?

There is a bunch of L-Lysine in whey protein. I know of no benefits.
