  • need serious help

Ok heres the situation I operate heavy equipment and the other day the box of my caterpiller dumptruck f@#!ed up and came crashing down fully loaded with 50 ton or more. It threw me all around but my seat belt held me in my seat. Now my left leg keeps going numb with shooting pain down the back of the leg the same symptoms in the right but not as bad. Its a herniated disc and the doc says its going to probrably need surgery. After already going threw this 3 years ago I do not want to do it again. Is there any gear or any exercizes that will make the swelling go down and bring the disc back to normal?

get the surgery bro, gear is for muscle enhancement, not to fix herniated discs.

If its down the back of your leg, its probably S1 or S2, and yes, opt for surgery.

I was only out one week. But that was due to me taking 5 perkasets and going to work I hate to miss one day. Sorry for the spelling the muscle relaxers and pain killers got me all f'd up.

No I don't like to go threw workmans comp because they'll want to put me on light duty or disability. Can't have that in the stone quarry we work 70+ hours a week so we get max benefits on unimployment in the winter. So I just go to work and suffer threw it. I'm gonna wait for winter layoff to go for surgery so I won't miss any work. The last time it was L5 I hope its not the same one caus they'll fuse it if it is. Will I still be able to do deadlifts and squats? I would find new imployment if I didn't have so much time in the union. I have a great teamsters pension comming when I retire in 28 years.

went to doctors again today, gonna need surgery. The disc between my pelvis and L5 is rupsured the vertabre is siting on my pelvis causing all the pain. I'm gonna try to stick it out till winter lay off. I'll be out of lifting for a while is there anything I can take to prevent muscle loss?

Honestly bro, Don't worry about muscle loss worry about your back! you don't wanna be a cripple......take care of your health first and foremost then worry about your muscles.... I really can't think of any exersises you could do that would not effect your back.....the only thing I can suggest is to eat clean until this is over as to not put on too much BF while out for this amount of time..........good luck with everything
