  • AS and NOTHING Else ?

Far as I am concerned AS are my supplements. I believe they are the most effective "supplements".

However, I^ve noticed most other BB use conventional supps, to a greater or lesser degree, while on gear. I would like your opinion on wether u believe this is ABSOLUTELY neccessary ?

By way of backgound > let me add that my diet is good. With adequate protein obtained from FOOD. Also I do get enough vits/mins from my meals so basic/insurance supps like a multivitamin are not needed. Creatine, well I^ve tried it and I fall into the non-responder category on that one.

Luv to deny the health food stores any of my hard earned $ I can.

    Stick with the basics-

    Protein powder (of course)
    Creatine
    Multi
    Flax oil
    ALA
    Milk Thistle

Shouldnt cost you more than $60-$75 for all of the above in large quantities.

most supplements are not worth the money anyway. why spend a few hundred $ a month on junk that has little or no effect? creatine seems to be helpful, but all the other supplements I use like protein, multi's n stuff are really just concentrated food.
There is no substitute for experience......

Yep that is my thinking also. So much HYPE in supp bizness and i do mean bizness. And as we know they dont have to prove their product or products work. > 1994 Dietary Supplement Act.

        Isn^t that convienent ? LOL

Still I^m trying to keep an open mind and invite everyone^s response...

I say if you're growin' and gettin' big by doing what your doing, then f**k it. A supplement is just what the name implies, an addition. I personally find it easier to drink a couple of protein shakes a day than to fix two additional protein packed meals. That's just me.

Why buy creatine? Eat red meat. This theory is flawed heavily.

theres no way ull ever be able to eat enough food to get all the vitamins and minerals u need and as far as protein ur telling me its cheaper for u to eat 2 extra chicken breasts everyday then to mix up a few shakes

Well high quality whey protein powder is MUCH MUCH cheaper than chicken, cheaper than tuna even. And for someone with as little money as I have that makes a big difference. I see no difference in getting 90% of my protein from solid foods vs 90% from shakes. I do try to keep it about 50-50 ratio, but when I'm pressed for cash, I do quite well on 6 shakes a day and 3 solid meals. Also use Liv-52, ALA, vitamin, creatine, weight gainers. Anything I can afford that I know works well, I use it. Why leave any stone unturned?

                      Protein
                      Multi
                      r-ALA
                      Malodextrin

No whole foods will replace the instant uptake of whey isolate and malodextrin and/or dextrose, post workout.

                          Alpha Lipoic Acid

                          Great anti-oxidant and liver protector.

r-ALA also does a good job of repartitioning nutrients, and lessening fat gain from carbs, by control some of your response to a degree to carbs

Protein, multi, r-ala is all you really need IMO. I use creatine when i am off cycle. I just don't see a real need for any extra cash spent on it when test does it so much better and effectively, as well as Dbol.

Im a creatine non-repsonder, unless i use those expensive ass formulas like V-12 or SWOLE, i dont know how much i wasted on straight creatine powder in the last 7 years.
