I'm trying to increase my back width and thickness as one of my main priorities right now, and it's always been hard to make my back sore. Calves and forearms I'm working twice per week b/c they're small muscle groups and need to be brought up also. However, I remember that the few times I've gotten my back *really* sore( that soreness you can just tell is going to lead to some growth), it was by doing a heavy low-rep back workout in the am, taking a nap, then coming back in the afternoon to hit it from different angles with higher reps. Since I have a weight-training class that meets on my back day, I was wondering if you guys think it would be overtraining to do these 2 a day back workouts maybe once or twice a month to shock my back into growing? I'll obviously be on gear, but I'm cutting, so I'm hoping that with enough protein I won't lose any muscle, and the extra calorie expenditure can't hurt either, since I'm doing no cardio. If you guys think it's too much, or you like it, want to tweak it, etc., please let me know. I can't help but want to train 2x per day here, the gym we meet at is actually called "The Dungeon"
