I understand that, but if she gets levels checked weekly, will they change the prescribed dosage? If she ups the dose, will this not hsow up on the weekly tests?

I understand now. Yes they will know but she gets the test done at a local clinic totaly independant of her insurance. Basicly I found out about this last week just as she was getting ready to start eating xanadrine(spelling). I asked her what the tabs where doing in her car and she confessed the whole thing.

My gf had a problem with tiredness, she has plenty of t3/t4, but it came down to diet. I would tell her i would refuse to help her, until she gets a satisfactory diet #1, and training/cardio program #2I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

Thats what I am working on.
My master plan is to research this more while I get a bottle of some hard to find thermogenic and put ALA caps in it. I'll get her 3 or 4 bottles and sell the whole idea to her that they are "special" for her. Sound good? Yes it does.

I know a guy who had his thyroid romoved as well....now every time he wants to lose some weight, he ups the dose a bit. I dont think there is much problem with that as there is not risk of shutting down her natural thyroid production (not much of a risk anyways).
I think that diet would be a better route, but if she is dead set on diet drugs, I would tell her to try and up the thyroid dose a BIT before starting anything and see if that gives the desired results.
BTW, like you said, its just thinking out loud, I DO think that getting a doctors advice on this one is the BEST way to go and that should be done first. Also I think that diet is key, and if she wont diet, then dont bother messing with doses or other drugs.
