Pull back the plunger after you've removed the needle from an injection and see how much gear is left. I've only seen very small amounts, much less than .1 cc. I do push fairly hard at the end to force out what I can...

I just push the plunger in as hard as I could before I draw out and I usually end up with about 3 drops of oil. I think I would rather waste the 1cc/bottle rather than inject air in my muscles. Just my .02

Air-lock works, and is totally safe. I have had those pins before, they arent too new, they get dull as shit after withdrawing with them.
