  • Blood work...

So recently had bloods done like I do routinely. Everything checks out pretty dam awesome so it tells me my years of being a lab rat have been done as best I could.

I do have one concern so please chime in. My GOOD cholesterol (HDL) was at 21, and supposedly I need to be at 39. I'm not a big veggie eater, and cardio has been out since my ACL blew/surgery. I added some nolvadex recently which we all know helps good cholesterol.

Any other ideas to help this area out. Everything else checks out.

are you keeping up with your EFA's, and are you currently eating any fish? these may help.

21 is definitely something you need to work on as that is way to low for someone your age. I know that certain steroids affect this but I am not sure which ones . That being said, diet exercise and the right supplements can help

            Re: Blood work...

Had the same thing happen with my last blood work. Low HDL, and everything else was excellent. After talking to some people, discovered that low HDL is a common finding in people taking aas.

That was 2 years ago and havent had blood work since then. Who knows if HDL is overrated. Possibly. Especially when everything else is optimum. I know what they say about low HDL being bad. Well, some say high cholesterol is bad and others say nothing bad at all with having high cholesterol...everybodies body is different.

edit-PS-I take loads of EFAs and eat loads of vegs and fish...Maybe my HDL has come up, I dont know. It would probably be best to get bloodwork done more often.

I'm not a big fish eater. Used to load up on efa's but been slacking lately.

Primo will tank your HDL if you are using that compound. Niacin at 1000mg/day is good for cholesterol support. Make sure you use the flushing version, as there's no studies validating the effectiveness of the non-flushing version on chol levels.
