Scammer Database is up and running!!

If you are unsure about a source, check the scammer database at Anabolic Universe.

This is not just a list of scammers. You can enter different fields and the database does the search for you.

The databse currently holds over 500 scammers info and is updated weekly.

You can go to AU and click on the scammers button on the top right side of the page or use the following link.

Scammer Database.

This should be your first step to see if a source is a scammer. If their name shows up you know they are a scammer. If it doesn't you still need to do your other source checks. Just because their name doesn't show up does NOT mean that they are legit.

Why do you have to login or register to use it I never visit a board that doesnt allow guest viewing you guys will actually get more members if you let them view first, many people are afraid or dont want to register right away! Just my opinion and it wont hurt for people to view it will let them learn the good of the board!

Back to another post on the other side of my opinion, lol! Scammers lists and this database sometimes to the newbie does more harm than good.... let me explain when a newbie checks that and sees his newfound guy isnt on the list he gets to thinking the guy is legit I have heard it a million times from people and new guys!

Many times or almost all of the time by the time we figure out a source has gone bad or a guy is just plain scamming it is too late and he has already scammed the people he was going to get!

Maybe you guys could put a message for new guys about this and to be careful that if they cant verify the guy with a mod or very well respected vet then he probably isnt a good source even if he isnt on the scammers list! As soon as we enter an email or address of a scammer they change to a new one and scam again making the old information useless!

Back to the good side: I think it is still a great idea but please dont let new guys get a false sense of security! Still an awesome idea and whoever did it I think really deserves the best electronic hand shake we can give him because that is something that is really cool and if we educate the members to not solely rely on that then it can be a great help and hell would even want it or buy it for this board! I doubt you guys will share or sell it since it is new it will draw some people to your site!!!

Search function is good, trying to read through those lists gives me a massive headache.

Get scammed is also a massive headache. Do nto take local guys money in the hopes of sending it to a net source and in turn make a profit. This is where ass-beating happens, taking someone else's cash, and expecting a net source to deliver money blindly sent, is just asking for it. Risk only your money,and money you can afford to lose.

Gearedup - You are right. The following mesage is what comes up when a name is entered that does not come up in the data base:
Not found in list.
Note: this only means that we have no record of this source and they can still be scammers
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this scammer, please contact admin.

The database is updated frequently with information an existing scammers(new email addys, etc) and info on new scammers. We will never be able to completely stop scammers but we believe this may slow them down. If we stop just a couple bros from being scammed, our work is well worth it.

I need to check on the (registering) thing. I think guests can view the mesage boards without registering but just can't post or use the database. I think registering is a small price to pay for being able to use such a unique tool. Our board is and allways will be free.
