  • humalog question

    I was taking humulin-r , now im taking humalog, with humilin i was taking 60gms dextrose and high protien meal after injection and 2 hrs later 60 gms dextrose and 50 gms protien, 2 hrs later another meal and 60 grms dextrose. Now with the humalog I start the same, 60 grms dextrose and hight protien meal, now the spike comes 1 hr later and the food I ate hasnt even digested yet, I had another 60 gms dextrose and 50 grm protien drink, my belly is going to explode lol the second hr I couldn't eat anything or drink anything. I didn't feel the spike and my blood sugar level feels fine. Just wondering what you guys think of the amount of food and supliments im taking now with the LOG. With the first meal and drink could that take me all the way through or will the spike still hit me?

      thx guys......after the slin shot my body eats up everything i give it (all clean shit). I tried met-RX today, "not bad".... My recovery time seems to have also improved. I def. like the humalog beter then humilin-r. I think someone said it mimmics the real thing more........I'd have to agree. Oh yeah the work outs are so sweet, I never want to leave the gym, I have to force myself out the door. Could be that I am in my 5th week sus/fina.

          insulin is the most effective aide out of everything....including test and other gear IMO.

            Only problem with insulin, although I love the stuff, it will make you seem thicker. I ran it for six motnhs, Im leanign up now, but it seems like i am wider, although bf% seems roughly the same before I started the slin, at least subcutaneous bf. I belive diabetics have problems with gaining fat around the organs (I know there is a technical name for this) , which could be part of the cause of my seeming new thickness.

              since i got you here, i'll not start a new thread and ask......if using humulin R post w/o only (4 w/o a week) at 8iu......would one be OK going 3 months on this protocol? what is the limit of time before you start becoming resistant? but man, you get pumped and big on insulin for sure. hope i don't thicken too much.....i have a wide enough hips and waist to begin with.

                I started feeling resistant about 5 months in. Should have quit sooner. I would opt for humalog if running it for a long period, but it is really only 12 weeks, so, you should be ok. Pumps do lessen, but I think your body gets used to the increased glycogen storage. But you still store all the glycogen as you did at first, you just dotn feel it as much. Keep it post workout, and I see no problemo.

                  yeah, thats what i figured. then after that i'm doing anavar at 40mg ED for 3 months to bridge to a deca/anadrol cycle......you think take a whole 3 months off insulin then hit it up again on deca/anadrol? or use it at some point during the anavar bridge? would be nice if there was no resistance to this stuff huh?

                    I would take a 2 month break, then hit up the slin on the last month of the bridge before your cycle.

                      yeah, then the last month of anavar, and the cycle upcoming, would add to about 4 months since i think i got enough deca for ~14 weeks. just sucks that post cycle i can't use it. seems one of the more opportune times to use insulin due to being shut down and going onto anavar only. oh well.
