I read the opening topic twice to see if I was really getting the question. I assume you are saying on cycle meaning you are "building". I only say that cause my bigger cycles are cutting.
All I can do is add my personnel thoughts on the matter.
On cycle: you have the chemicals flowing in your body, you have more gym focus and I hope nutrition is complete. Sure there is water and your muscles are swole. There is a bigness about you. The on cycle look.
Post cycle. Chemical come out for the most part. Nutrition slips. Work out intensity wains . The fat cells in your body will expand from the positive calories you are taking in. Depending where you have higher amounts of fat cells that is where the soft areas start to grow.
For me my legs seem to stay tight most of the time. My easy to grow area (post cutting cycle) is glutes aka ass, lower back and obliques. Just to name the first spots. Then it comes around the pec and belly.
