I really don't know anything about personally competing in BB. So do they drug test for shows? I have always worked out for me. I like to look good, feel good about myself. But lately been getting the bug to get into some serious BB and maybe do some shows. So everyone feel me in! Whats the Competition life like?

The dieting is brutal but in the end it's all worth the hard work you put into it, and hell NO they do not test at the shows i compete at...XXL

It's a hell of a lot of fun. You end up working your ass off for months for about 15 minutes on the stage. But I'll do it again!

Drug testing depends on which organization is sponsoring the show. You have to buy a membership to the organization for the amature ones before you can walk on the stage. Since there seems to be more of these bodybuilding organizations than you can shake a stick at, just pick one that aligns with your personal philosophy.

I've done about 20 shows, and keep coming back. All the weeks of dieting is worth it when you hit the stage.

All of the organizations I've competed in have drug tested, either polygraph or urine.

LOL, Just breath slowly and focus on a point on the wall, it's supposed to help you beat the test. Not that a 15 minute polygraph is all that effective anyways.

But I have known people that have failed and I knew they were clean, they were just too damn nervous!

Some shows will test you, some wont. They always say if they will, some will urine test you & some will use a breath test I've heard. I'm getting ready to do one in about 3 months or so. I will tell you this, the diet(you have to be dedicated), the workouts, the DEDICATION is most important of all, if you don't have any, forget it kid.

Yeah, the shows that have polygraphed me are in a natural federation... I'm been natural up to this point, and think I've reached my natural limits, so I doubt I'll be competing there again.

well i have only competed in the NPC. some of the show test for AS, which all i have seen are by polygraph. but these are all local small shows. it is a blast you should do it. look at
