i had an abscess in my right glute maybe 10 years ago. i drained it and it went away. last week i left grappling class and my glute felt funny. i woke the next morning and it was uncomfortable and there was a good size knot. (which has gotten bigger and more uncomfortable)

feels the same as the abscess. i still have pins and barrels so i pulled out a 20ga pin, put it on a barrel and drew out what looked like oil, puss and blood. is this possible? why? 10 years of no shots and now? WTF!

Strange. Did u have the abcess drained by a doctor and use antibiotics? If not perhaps it was laying dormant for either a minor injury or something to trigger the infection to rear its head? My abcess in quad a few years back required major antibiotic treatment via IV to get rid of followed by oral antibiotic run afterward. Have it checked of no better bro. Nothing to play around with
