Delatestryl

G'day Mates!!

I finally got my Dr to prescribe some Test Cyp for my "hypergonadism" (sp) only to find that my pharmacy says that the famous Upjohn brand has been discontinued and that Delatestryl (test enan) is the shit. Well it costs a fortune around $80 per 5ml vial.
Does anyone know what's so special about this brand of Test that would result in such a high price?

Fortunately I do have insurance, seems to me I should ask them for half the cost and i'll find my own LOL. Still Testex Leo 250 cyp is only $10 for 2ml. makes you think!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am using delatestryl enanthate and its the best test i have used. No pain at all. its always overfilled by about .5cc.

blodger, I used to have a script for test Enen. & always got Delatestryl ( in 5ml bottles). Consider yourself lucky, it's probbably the best stuff out there! And I don't know about it being "overfilled" it's FDA regulated, so it would have to be right on the money

Delatestryl (Bio-Technology General Co.) is Testosterone enanthate and Depo-Test (Upjohn) is testosterone cypionate.

As far as I know Depot-Test is not discontinued (it is still available on drugstore.com).

Also, a pharmacy is a store, not really any different from any other kind of store, so try a different pharmacy and see what they say. It sounds awful fishy to me that the pharmacy is pushing enanthate when your doctor prescribed cypionate, especially since Virilon IM (Star Pharmaceuticals) is also testosterone cypionate, and it’s even cheaper than Depot-Test.

It's interesting you say that Dren. I had to call around to like 15 different pharmacies to find Enan. My doctor even told me it might be hard to find and they could set it up to be sent to me, so it's either that most places don't have it and they want to sell you somthing (which I would they shouldn't be able to do) or it's a sketchy pharmacy- a pharmacy shouldn't "push" anything

Enanthate...

I am also Andropausal at 44 years of age. I was on Delatestryl until the pharmacy suddenly ran out here in Ontario where Ilive. I switched to Cypionate which is only one chain different than Enanthate. So the release time of the esters are only slightly different.

Also Enanthate comes in a 5 ml; 200 mg per ml/CC while the 5ml of Cypionate is 100mg per ml/CC, which means you need to take twice as much inorder to get the same effect. I think the cypionate is much better as far as my experience is concerned. I can feel it in my system more than I could with Delatestryl. I had my dose moved from 200 mg. every 2 weeks to 300 mg every 2 weeks. I was experiencing some of the Andropausal symptoms during my second week before the next shot. I have found the increase to be better for me.

See if your Doctor will change to Cypionate, he should be willing to if he knows how Esters work. Good luck.

Not to split hairs or anything, but Virilon IM is 200mg/ml and Depot-Test is available at 100mg/ml and 200mg/ml.
