  • Needles going bad???

Hey Bro's this may sound weird and it may only be in my head but here goes. I started my cycle on monday and i was using the left over needles and syringes that i had from my last cycle (like 4 months ago). When i injected i noticed that it seemed more difficult to actually break the skin and the pain the day after was more than i had before. Is this due to the needles being older? Could they have dulled in the package? Just thought i would see what anyone else thought.

unless you were stabbing something else to make the point dull, it is all in your head

Also, you might have been hitting scar tissue

Probably scar tissue. I am also having a slightly harder time getting the needle into my glute with my new cycle. I think its just because I only injected in my glute last cycle, which built up scar tissue.

Yeah, ditto on what fighter said... you're skins prolly a lil' tough from scarring. I've found that when I try to get a pin in and haven't taken enough time between cycles the skin's pretty tough. Try a different spot... Only way your needle is gonna get dull is if you stuck something else first. Man, one time I saw this closeup pic of an insulin needle that'd been used three times. It was rough... the point was all ruined. I never tried to sterilize and recycle again.

Well, after a few years the rubber on the plunger may start to leak. But the tip wouldn't dull.

another though. Are you putting a fresh needle on the surynge after drawing the AS into the surynge? The needle can dull a little, and get some glass on it from scrapping the bottem of a bottle.

Yeah i use two needles an 18g to draw and a 25g to inject. Its probably just in my head or hitting scar tissue since i only ever inject into my thighs. Thanks for the responces...

wow. If you are using a 25g to inject it should be slipping right in no matter what. How long to your injection take that is a thin needle. I use 22g and I know a lot of people that use 23g but I have never heard of using a 25g. Try a different muscle.

25ga isn't too bad to inject, especially if the pin is only an inch long.

And even with a 25ga, you'll feel a little resistance if you hit some scar tissue. Also makes the sickest sound... kinda a crunching/tearing noise...
