bro i believe rado is talking about using an alchol swab to clean the area your are gonna inject at.

i never swipe with an alcohol swab ... it's really pointless ... injecting after a shower is probably the most sanitary method ...

Yeah, I do that too (with alcohol and cotton) after shower.

Honestly, an alcohol swab does little. The only reason doctors and nurses do it, is for insurance reasons. The alcohol is not in contact long enough to kill much of anything, but i would make sure the area is clean. I never use any alcohol, only got an abcess once on IP gear, back when i was using alcohol swab technique. If the injection seems to bleed, i wipe it up and squirt some sterile saline solution on it. Back to your soreness, if you would be getting an abcess, 9 chances out of 10, you would have already gotten it.
