Hey guys I had to post, last night I was doing my normal everyday inject of Winny and well I decided to shoot in my calf. So I got out the ole 5/8" pin and proceeded to inject. Pin went in fine. I asperated didn't see anything, but winny is soo cloudy I am not sure if I asperated enough to see if any blood was coming up. I think I did properly anyways.
so anyways I start pushing down on the plunger started getting this sharp pain when I pushed the winny in. And it was almost as if it wasn't wanting to go in. Well I simply figured that the winny was cloggin the needle up I was using a 25 gauger. So I kept on pressing and pressing, I then remembered I forgot to shake the winny before I pulled it from the vial. so I reasoned this was why it was getting clogged adn hard to push. But I was half way done and wanted to finish.
So got down the last little bit and I pushed hard down on the plunger to get the last little bit out, and man what a freakin pain. The pain was soo bad, I had to pull the pin out, and as soon as I did, blood shot out like a water hose.
So what do you guys think happened? Did I inject into a blood vessel, vein or did I pierce a vein? I never got dizzy as I was injecting, just alittle pain and was like the winny was not wanting to go in.
I was using a 5/8" pin, and I figured I would've been less likely to hit a vein or a bloodvessel.
